¹⁷ I will send famine and ^(A)wild beasts against you, ^(B)and they will rob you of your children. Pestilence and ^(C)blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I am the Lord; I have spoken.”

⁸ And I looked, and behold, ^(A)a pale horse! And its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kill ^(B)with sword and with famine and with pestilence and ^(C)by wild beasts of the earth.

²⁷ Say this to them, Thus says the Lord God: ^(A)As I live, surely those who are in ^(B)the waste places shall fall by ^(C)the sword, and whoever is in the open field I will give to ^(D)the beasts to be devoured, and those who are in ^(E)strongholds and in caves shall die by ^(F)pestilence.
