⁷ “And ^(A)my holy name I will make known in the midst of my people Israel, and ^(B)I will not let my holy name be profaned any more. And ^(C)the nations shall know that I am ^(D)the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.

⁷ and he said to me, ^(A)“Son of man, this is ^(B)the place of my throne and ^(C)the place of the soles of my feet, ^(D)where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel for ever. And the house of Israel shall no more ^(E)defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoring and by the dead bodies^[a] of their kings at their high places,^[b]

²⁵ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ^(A)You and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made, ^(B)to make offerings to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows! ²⁶ Therefore hear the word of the Lord, ^(C)all you of Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: ^(D)Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, ^(E)that my name shall no more be invoked by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, ^(F)saying, ‘As the Lord God lives.’
