⁴ You have become guilty ^(A)by the blood that you have shed, and defiled by the idols that you have made, and you have brought ^(B)your days near, the appointed time of^[a] your years has come. ^(C)Therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mockery to all the countries.

¹⁷ Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, ^(A)how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer ^(B)suffer derision.”

⁹ I will make them ^(A)a horror^[a] to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be ^(B)a reproach, ^(C)a byword, ^(D)a taunt, and ^(E)a curse in all the places where I shall drive them.
