11 And there stood before them seventy [a]men of the Ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah, the son of Shaphan, with every man his censor in his hand, and the vapor of the incense went up like [b]a cloud.

12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the Ancients of the house of Israel [c]do in the dark, everyone in the chamber of his imagery? for they say, The Lord seeth us not, the Lord hath forsaken the earth.

13 Again he said also unto me, Turn thee again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

12 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness,(E) each at the shrine of his own idol? They say, ‘The Lord does not see(F) us; the Lord has forsaken the land.’” 13 Again, he said, “You will see them doing things that are even more detestable.”
