9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have [a]delivered your soul.
10 “Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we (A)pine[b] away in them, (B)how can we then live?” ’ 11 Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, (C)‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked (D)turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For (E)why should you die, O house of Israel?’

10 “Son of man, say to the Israelites, ‘This is what you are saying: “Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away(C) because of[a] them. How then can we live?(D)”’ 11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live.(E) Turn!(F) Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’(G)
