The Plague of Blood

¹⁴ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is unyielding;^(A) he refuses to let the people go.

²⁹ In the time of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser^(A) king of Assyria came and took Ijon,^(B) Abel Beth Maakah, Janoah, Kedesh and Hazor. He took Gilead and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali,^(C) and deported^(D) the people to Assyria.

³³ This is what the Lord Almighty says:

¹⁸ When they see the smoke of her burning,^(A) they will exclaim, ‘Was there ever a city like this great city^(B)?’^(C)
