¹³ Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—you swore to them by yourself^(A) and declared, ‘I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’”^(B)

²⁴ And I promised you: You will inherit their land, since I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.^(A) I am the Lord your God who set you apart from the peoples.

²¹ “The Lord was angry with me on your account.^(A) He swore that I would not cross the Jordan and enter the good land^(B) the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.^(C)

¹⁰ When you cross the Jordan and live in the land the Lord your God is giving you to inherit,^(A) and he gives you rest from all the enemies around you and you live in security,

²⁰ Pursue justice and justice alone, so that you will live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you.^(A)

¹⁰ In this way, innocent blood will not be shed, and you will not become guilty of bloodshed in the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.^(A)

²³ you are not to leave his corpse on the tree overnight but are to bury him that day, for anyone hung on a tree is under God’s curse.^(A) You must not defile the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.^(B)

⁴ the first husband who sent her away may not marry her again after she has been defiled, because that would be detestable to the Lord. You must not bring guilt on the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.^(A)

¹⁹ When the Lord your God gives you rest^(A) from all the enemies around you in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance,^(B) blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven. Do not forget.^(C)

26 “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance,^(A) and you take possession of it and live in it,
