¹² Why should ^(A)the Egyptians talk, saying, ‘With evil motives He brought them out, to kill them on the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent of doing harm to Your people.

¹⁷ Nothing at all from what is designated for destruction is to cling to your hand, in order that the Lord may turn from ^(A)His burning anger and ^(B)show mercy to you, and have compassion on you and ^(C)make you increase, just ^(D)as He has sworn to your fathers,

^9 (A)Who knows, God may turn and relent, and turn from His burning anger so that we will not perish.”
