¹² “^(A)Honor your father and your mother, so that your ^(B)days may be prolonged on the land which the Lord your God gives you.

³ Every one of you ^(A)shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep ^(B)My Sabbaths; ^(C)I am the Lord your God.

¹⁶ ‘^(A)Cursed is one who treats his father or mother contemptuously.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

⁴ For God said, ‘^(A)Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘^(B)The one who speaks evil of father or mother is to ^[a]be put to death.’

^19 (A)Honor your father and mother; and ^(B)You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

¹⁰ For Moses said, ‘^(A)Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘^(B)The one who speaks evil of father or mother, is ^[a]certainly to be put to death’;

¹⁹ You know the commandments: ‘^(A)Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’”

^2 (A)Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), ³ so that it may turn out well for you, and that you may live long on the earth.

^20 (A)Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing ^[a]to the Lord.
