¹⁷ “Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread,^(A) because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt.^(B) Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.^(C)

²⁴ “Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance^(A) for you and your descendants.

⁵ When the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites,^(A) Hittites, Amorites, Hivites and Jebusites^(B)—the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey^(C)—you are to observe this ceremony^(D) in this month:

¹⁰ You must keep this ordinance^(A) at the appointed time^(B) year after year.

²¹ In the tent of meeting,^(A) outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law,^(B) Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps^(C) burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance^(D) among the Israelites for the generations to come.

¹⁷ “‘This is a lasting ordinance^(A) for the generations to come,^(B) wherever you live:^(C) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(D)’”

⁹ “You and your sons are not to drink wine^(A) or other fermented drink^(B) whenever you go into the tent of meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance^(C) for the generations to come,

²⁹ “This is to be a lasting ordinance^(A) for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month^(B) you must deny yourselves^[a](C) and not do any work^(D)—whether native-born^(E) or a foreigner residing among you—

⁷ They must no longer offer any of their sacrifices to the goat idols^[a](A) to whom they prostitute themselves.^(B) This is to be a lasting ordinance^(C) for them and for the generations to come.’^(D)
