Ecclesiastes 2:23-25
Holman Christian Standard Bible
23 For all his days are filled with grief, and his occupation is sorrowful;(A) even at night, his mind does not rest.(B) This too is futile.
24 There is nothing better for man than to eat, drink, and enjoy[a][b] his work.(C) I have seen that even this is from God’s hand,(D) 25 because who can eat and who can enjoy life[c] apart from Him?[d]

New International Version
23 All their days their work is grief and pain;(A) even at night their minds do not rest.(B) This too is meaningless.
24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink(C) and find satisfaction in their own toil.(D) This too, I see, is from the hand of God,(E) 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?(F)
