^13 (A)And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will only be above, and not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you today, to ^[a]follow them carefully,

¹⁹ and ^[a]that He will ^(A)put you high above all the nations which He has made, for glory, fame, and honor; and that you shall be ^(B)a consecrated people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

² And David realized that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that his kingdom was highly exalted, for the sake of His people Israel.
