18 the form of anything that creeps on the ground, the form of any fish that is in the water under the earth— 19 and so that you do not lift up your eyes toward the heavens and see the sun and the moon and the stars—all the heavenly host—and are drawn away and bow down and worship them. Adonai your God has allotted them to all the peoples under all the heavens. 20 But you, Adonai has taken, and He brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt to be a people for His own inheritance, as you are this day.

18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. 19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun,(A) the moon and the stars(B)—all the heavenly array(C)—do not be enticed(D) into bowing down to them and worshiping(E) things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. 20 But as for you, the Lord took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace,(F) out of Egypt,(G) to be the people of his inheritance,(H) as you now are.
