18 any creature that crawls on the ground, or any fish in the water. 19 Don’t let yourselves be tempted to worship and serve what you see in the sky—the sun, the moon, the stars, or anything else. Yahweh your Elohim has given them to all people everywhere. 20 But you are the people Yahweh brought out of Egypt, the iron smelter, in order to make you his own people as you still are today.

18 or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. 19 And when you look up to the sky and see the sun,(A) the moon and the stars(B)—all the heavenly array(C)—do not be enticed(D) into bowing down to them and worshiping(E) things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven. 20 But as for you, the Lord took you and brought you out of the iron-smelting furnace,(F) out of Egypt,(G) to be the people of his inheritance,(H) as you now are.
