Therefore I made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream. Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers came in; and I told the dream before them; but they didn’t make known to me its interpretation. So I commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be brought before me to interpret(A) the dream for me. When the magicians,(B) enchanters, astrologers[a] and diviners(C) came, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me.(D) Finally, Daniel came into my presence and I told him the dream. (He is called Belteshazzar,(E) after the name of my god, and the spirit of the holy gods(F) is in him.)
