Amos 2:2-4

2 So I will send a fire upon Moab,
    and it shall devour the strongholds of (A)Kerioth,
and Moab shall die amid uproar,
    amid shouting and the sound of the trumpet;
3 (B)I will cut off the ruler from its midst,
    and will kill (C)all its princes[a] with him,”
says the Lord.

Judgement on Judah

4 Thus says the Lord:

(D)“For three transgressions of Judah,
    and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,
because (E)they have rejected the law of the Lord,
    and have not kept his statutes,
but (F)their lies have led them astray,
    those after which their fathers walked.

Moab will go down in great tumult
    amid war cries(B) and the blast of the trumpet.(C)
3 I will destroy her ruler(D)
    and kill all her officials with him,”(E)
says the Lord.(F)

4 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Judah,(G)
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because they have rejected the law(H) of the Lord
    and have not kept his decrees,(I)
because they have been led astray(J) by false gods,[b](K)
    the gods[c] their ancestors followed,(L)
