²³ So on the next day ^(B)Agrippa and Bernice came with great pomp, and they entered the audience hall with the military tribunes and the prominent men of the city. Then, at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in.

Paul's Defence Before Agrippa

26 So ^(A)Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defence:

³² And Agrippa said to Festus, ^(A)“This man could have been set ^(B)free if he had not appealed ^(C)to Caesar.”

¹⁶ At my first defence no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. ^(A)May it not be charged against them!
