²⁸ One of them, named ^(A)Agabus, stood up and ^[a]indicated ^[b]by the Spirit that there would definitely be a severe famine ^(B)all over the ^[c]world. ^[d]And this took place in the reign of ^(C)Claudius.

The Third Seal: Famine

⁵ When He broke the third seal, I heard the ^(A)third living creature saying, “Come^[a]!” I looked, and behold, a ^(B)black horse, and the one who sat on it had a ^(C)pair of scales in his hand. ⁶ And I heard something like a voice in the center of the ^(D)four living creatures saying, “A ^[b]quart of wheat for a ^[c]denarius, and three ^[d]quarts of barley for a ^[e]denarius; and ^(E)do not damage the oil and the wine.”
