²³ After many days had passed, the Jews conspired to kill him,

¹⁹ serving the Lord with all humility, with tears, and with the trials that came to me through the plots of the Jews^(A)—

¹² When it was day, the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves under a curse: neither to eat nor to drink until they had killed Paul.^(A)

³ asking him to do them a favor against Paul,^[a] that he might summon him to Jerusalem. They were preparing an ambush along the road to kill him.
