5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip and Prochorus and Nicanor and Timon and Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch:
6 these they set before the apostles, and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly, and also a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen,(A) a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit;(B) also Philip,(C) Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed(D) and laid their hands on them.(E)
7 So the word of God spread.(F) The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly,(G) and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
