5 This proposal pleased the entire group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicholas, a proselyte from Antioch.
6 They had these men stand before the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
7 The word of God kept on spreading, and the number of disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly. Also a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.

5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen,(A) a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit;(B) also Philip,(C) Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. 6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed(D) and laid their hands on them.(E)
7 So the word of God spread.(F) The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly,(G) and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
