¹⁴ Then the brothers and sisters immediately sent Paul away to go to the coast, but Silas and Timothy^(A) stayed on there. ¹⁵ Those who escorted Paul brought him as far as Athens, and after receiving instructions for Silas and Timothy to come to him as quickly as possible, they departed.^(B)

⁵ When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself to preaching the word^[a] and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.^(A)

²² After sending to Macedonia two of those who assisted him, Timothy and Erastus,^(A) he himself stayed in Asia for a while.^(B)

⁴ He was accompanied^[a] by Sopater son of Pyrrhus^[b] from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy,^(A) and Tychicus^(B) and Trophimus^(C) from the province of Asia.
