³⁹ “We are witnesses^(A) of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross,^(B)

²⁹ When they had carried out all that was written about him,^(A) they took him down from the cross^(B) and laid him in a tomb.^(C)

¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law^(A) by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”^[a](B)
