⁵ “My^(A) heart will cry out for Moab;
His fugitives shall flee to Zoar,
Like ^[a]a three-year-old heifer.
For ^(B)by the Ascent of Luhith
They will go up with weeping;
For in the way of Horonaim
They will raise up a cry of destruction,

³ Therefore ^(A)my loins are filled with pain;
^(B)Pangs have taken hold of me, like the pangs of a woman in labor.
I was ^[a]distressed when I heard it;
I was dismayed when I saw it.

¹⁰ I will take up a weeping and wailing for the mountains,
And ^(A)for the ^[a]dwelling places of the wilderness a lamentation,
Because they are burned up,
So that no one can pass through;
Nor can men hear the voice of the cattle.
^(B)Both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled;
They are gone.
