¹⁸ So ^(A)Jehoash king of Judah took all the sacred offerings that Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had consecrated, and ^(B)his own sacred offerings, and all the gold that was found among the treasuries of the house of the Lord and of the king’s house, and sent them to Hazael king of Aram. Then he withdrew from Jerusalem.

¹⁶ Then ^(A)the Lord stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines and ^(B)the Arabs who ^[a]bordered the Ethiopians; ¹⁷ and they came against Judah and invaded it, and carried away all the possessions found in the king’s house together with his sons and his wives, so that no son was left to him except ^[b](C)Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.
