²⁰ idolatry, ^(A)witchcraft, hostilities, ^(B)strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, ^(C)selfish ambition, dissensions, ^(D)factions,

¹⁷ the former proclaim Christ ^(A)out of selfish ambition ^[a]rather than from pure motives, thinking that they are causing me distress in my ^[b](B)imprisonment.

³ Do nothing ^[a]from ^[b](A)selfishness or ^(B)empty conceit, but with humility ^(C)consider one another as more important than yourselves;

¹⁴ But if you have bitter ^(A)jealousy and ^[a]selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against ^(B)the truth.

¹⁶ For where ^(A)jealousy and ^[a]selfish ambition exist, ^[b]there is disorder and every evil thing.
