¹⁴ Afterwards he built an outer wall for the city of David west of ^(A)Gihon, in the valley, and for the entrance into ^(B)the Fish Gate, and carried it round ^(C)Ophel, and raised it to a very great height. He also put commanders of the army in all the fortified cities in Judah.

^26 (A)and the temple servants living on ^(B)Ophel repaired to a point opposite ^(C)the Water Gate on the east and the projecting tower. ²⁷ After him ^(D)the Tekoites repaired another section opposite the great projecting tower as far as the wall of Ophel.

^21 (A)But the temple servants lived on Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the temple servants.
