Israel Returns the Captives

⁹ But a ^(A)prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out before the army that came to Samaria, and said to them: “Look, ^(B)because the Lord God of your fathers was angry with Judah, He has delivered them into your hand; but you have killed them in a rage that ^(C)reaches up to heaven.

¹³ And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our God ^(A)have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this,

¹⁵ O Lord God of Israel, ^(A)You are righteous, for we are left as a remnant, as it is this day. ^(B)Here we are before You, ^(C)in our guilt, though no one can stand before You because of this!”

^5 (A)For her sins ^[a]have reached to heaven, and ^(B)God has remembered her iniquities.
