7 always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.(A) 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres(B) resisted Moses,(C) so these also resist the truth, men who are corrupt in mind,(D) worthless(E) in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress, for their lack of understanding will be clear to all, as theirs[a] was also.

7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.(A) 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,(B) so also these teachers oppose(C) the truth. They are men of depraved minds,(D) who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men,(E) their folly will be clear to everyone.
