8 and with a flaming fire.
Our Lord Jesus will punish anyone who doesn't know God and won't obey his message. 9 (A) Their punishment will be eternal destruction, and they will be kept far from the presence of our Lord and his glorious strength. 10 This will happen on the day when the Lord returns to be praised and honored by all who have faith in him and belong to him. This includes you, because you believed what we said.

8 He will punish(A) those who do not know God(B) and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.(C) 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction(D) and shut out from the presence of the Lord(E) and from the glory of his might(F) 10 on the day(G) he comes to be glorified(H) in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.(I)
