⁹ Then it happened, when he turned his back to leave Samuel, that God ^(A)changed ^[a]his heart; and all those signs came about on that day. ^10 (B)When they came there to ^[b]the hill, behold, a group of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, so that he prophesied among them.

³ Here I am; testify against me before the Lord and ^(A)His anointed. ^(B)Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I exploited? Whom have I oppressed, or ^(C)from whose hand have I taken a bribe to close my eyes with it? I will return it to you.”

¹³ So Samuel took the horn of oil and ^(A)anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and ^(B)the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. And Samuel set out and went to Ramah.
