¹² And it will come about when I leave you ^(A)that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to where I do not know; so when I come and inform Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, though I, your servant, have ^[a]feared the Lord from my youth.

¹⁶ Then they said to him, “Behold now, there are with your servants fifty strong men; please let them go and search for your master, in case ^(A)the Spirit of the Lord has taken him up and cast him on some mountain or into some valley.” But he said, “You shall not send anyone.”

¹² Then the ^(A)Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great ^(B)rumbling sound behind me: “Blessed be the glory of the Lord from His place!”

¹⁴ So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away; and I went embittered in the rage of my spirit, and ^(A)the hand of the Lord was strong on me.

³ And He extended the form of a hand and took me by the hair of my head; and the ^(A)Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the ^[a]north gate of the inner courtyard, where the seat of the idol of jealousy, which ^(B)provokes to jealousy, was located.

Evil Rulers to Be Judged

11 Now the ^(A)Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the Lord’s house which faced eastward. And behold, there were twenty-five men at the entrance of the gate, and among them I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzur and ^(B)Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.

²⁴ And the ^(A)Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God to ^[a]Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen ^[b](B)left me.

⁵ And the ^(A)Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner courtyard; and behold, the ^(B)glory of the Lord filled the house.

² I know a man ^(A)in Christ, who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, ^(B)God knows—such a man was ^(C)caught up to the ^(D)third heaven.
