¹⁶ For how do you know, wife, whether you will ^(A)save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

^5 (A)He saved us, ^(B)not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but ^(C)in accordance with His mercy, by the ^(D)washing of regeneration and ^(E)renewing by the Holy Spirit,
