14 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar logs,^(B) stonemasons and carpenters to build a palace for him.

14 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.

⁴He also provided more cedar logs^(A) than could be counted, for the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought large numbers of them to David.

⁴Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
