¹³ Now I want you to know,^[a](A) brothers, that I often planned to come to you (but was prevented until now^(B)) in order that I might have a fruitful ministry^[b] among you,^(C) just as among the rest of the Gentiles.

¹⁴ And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works for cases of urgent need, so that they will not be unfruitful.^(A)

¹² These are the ones who are like dangerous reefs^[a] at your love feasts.^(A) They feast with you, nurturing only themselves without fear. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds;^(B) trees in late autumn—fruitless, twice dead, pulled out by the roots;
