¹⁹They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying:

‘Alas, alas, that great city,
in which all who had ships in the sea
grew rich from her wealth!
In one hour she has been laid waste!’

²⁰“Rejoice over her, O heaven
and saints and apostles and prophets,
for God has avenged you against her.”

²¹Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying:

“With such violence
shall that great city Babylon be thrown down,
and shall be found no more.
