² He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the ^(A)truth in his heart;

^17 (A)He who speaks truth declares righteousness,
But a false witness, deceit.
^18 (B)There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword,
But the tongue of the wise promotes health.
¹⁹ The truthful lip shall be established forever,
^(C)But a lying tongue is but for a moment.

^(A)‘I will return to Zion,
And ^(B)dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.
Jerusalem ^(C)shall be called the City of Truth,
^(D)The Mountain of the Lord of hosts,
^(E)The Holy Mountain.’
