Leviticus 25:25-27

²⁵ “If your brother becomes so poor that he has to a sell portion of his inheritance, then his nearest kinsman redeemer is to come and redeem what his brother has sold. ²⁶ If a person^[a] doesn’t have a kinsman redeemer, but has become rich^[b] and found sufficient means for his redemption, ²⁷ then let him account for the years for which it was sold, return the excess to the person to whom it was sold, and then return to his property.
