⁵ Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I will go over there to worship; then we’ll come back to you.”

²³ After dismissing the crowds, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone.^(A)

The Prayer in the Garden

³⁶ Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane,^[a](A) and He told the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
