⁹ But now that you have come to know God, or rather ^(A)to be known by God, ^(B)how can you turn back again to ^(C)the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?

Moses' Intercession

¹² Moses said to the Lord, “See, ^(A)you say to me, ‘Bring up this people’, but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ^(B)‘I know you by name, and you have also found favour in my sight.’

¹⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, ^(A)for you have found favour in my sight, and I know you by name.”

¹⁹ But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ^(A)“The Lord knows those who are his”, and, “Let everyone ^(B)who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”
