23 For (A)all his days are full of sorrow, and his (B)work is a vexation. Even in the night his heart does not rest. This also is vanity.
24 (C)There is nothing better for a person than that he should (D)eat and drink and find enjoyment[a] in his toil. This also, I saw, is (E)from the hand of God, 25 for apart from him[b] who can eat or who can have enjoyment?

23 All their days their work is grief and pain;(A) even at night their minds do not rest.(B) This too is meaningless.
24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink(C) and find satisfaction in their own toil.(D) This too, I see, is from the hand of God,(E) 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?(F)
