⁴⁴ The Amorites, who lived in the hill country, came out against you, and chased you as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir as far as Hormah. ⁴⁵ Then you returned and wept before the Lord, but the Lord would neither listen to your voice nor give ear to you. ⁴⁶ So you dwelt in Kadesh many days, according to the days you dwelt there.
